Spring is an exciting time for the Y-ADR Steering Committee because this is the time
that applications open to welcome a new class of Steering Committee members!
As the leadership group for Y-ADR, the Steering Committee is selected through a competitive application process once a year and is responsible for providing strategic direction for CPR and Y-ADR initiatives in the upcoming term. We invite you to learn more about the Y-ADR Steering Committee and encourage you to apply. Applications officially open on April 1 and will be accepted through June 30, 2024.
Spring is also a great time for our general Y-ADR group to join us for upcoming events to learn more about dispute prevention and resolution, network with one another, and continue developing your professional path.
Joining the CPR Institute is also a great way to expand your networks, increase your skills and knowledge, and contribute to CPR’s mission to promote conflict prevention and resolution throughout the world.

The Y-ADR Steering Committee is an international body composed of CPR member representatives from leading law firms and in-house legal departments as well as a select number of independent neutrals from around the world.
Applications for the current cycle will open April 1, 2024 and close on June 30, 2024.

CPR + USP Collaborative Event, Presented By CPR’s Brazilian Advisory Board | |
CPR Institute and the CPR Brazilian Advisory Board are proud to once again collaborate with the University of São Paulo to present a dispute resolution program for the legal community in São Paulo.
Participants will attend a foundational panel then select from one of two simultaneous workshops to be chose by participants upon entry.

The CPR IMC is Coming Up!

New! Event in Geneva to Focus on Commercial Mediation | |

Part One, "Professional Standards, Ethics, and the Use of AI in Dispute Resolution," on May 14 at 12:00 pm ET via Zoom will feature Moderator Rutger Metsch, Herbert Smith Freehills LLP and speakers Cindy Randall, Deputy General Counsel and Head of Litigation at Microsoft and Professor Catherine Rogers, Professor of Law at Bocconi University.
This event is free to members and $49 for non-members.

Recap: CPR Annual Meeting 2024 | |
CPR's Annual Meeting brought together an international community of external counsel, in-house counsel, neutrals, and judiciary in Philadelphia (March 6-8) to partake in three days of thought-provoking panel discussions bearing 12 CLE credits, fascinating speakers, an awards dinner banquet, and several cocktail networking receptions.
Y-ADR was well-represented at the event and included three Steering Committee members as speakers. Congratulations to Cherine Foty who moderated a panel on Dispute Prevention and Resolution of Sustainability Disputes in the Financial Sector, and to Elena Rizzo (moderator) and Carmelo Romeo (panelist) for their panel The Freedom of Neutrals and Parties to Innovate the ADR Process.

Young professionals and law students from around the world joined us online (February 8) for this unique and fun Speed Mentoring session which kicked off with a valuable presentation by Kate Germano of Fringe Professional Development with helpful tips for developing the communication habits and skills necessary to build productive working relationships in the hybrid/remote world.
