SpringboardVR by Vertigo Games Becomes Presenting Sponsor of VR Summit at Amusement Expo

4th Annual Location-based Entertainment Event Returns to Las Vegas June 30th 2021

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: 6/7/2021

Las Vegas, NV - June 7, 2021- Amusement Expo International announced today that Vertigo Games has agreed to a multi-year naming sponsorship deal with the VR Summit, the leading location-based virtual reality entertainment conference in the US.

The VR Summit presented by SpringboardVR was started by Bob Cooney in 2018 in partnership with AAMA and AMOA, the organizing associations behind the Amusement Expo International. It brings together innovators from virtual reality and immersive technology companies and location-based entertainment operators. The conference and adjacent trade show has been a big part of the growth of virtual reality in the amusement and family entertainment center industries.

“When I first conceived of the VR Summit,” commented host and founder Bob Cooney, “I envisioned a partnership with a company that could help expand the market via education, best practices, and innovation. When Vertigo Games, makers of the platinum-selling Arizona Sunshine and one of the leading game developers and publishers in the VR market, announced their acquisition of SpringboardVR, the leading venue management software and content marketplace for location-based VR, I thought they would be the perfect sponsor.”

“We are thrilled to not only sponsor the VR Summit, but also help curate the education program,” remarked John Coleman, Director of Business Development for Vertigo Games. “We see this conference as an opportunity to drive the growth of the virtual reality entertainment community. We think this can be a cornerstone event where developers, publishers, operators, and manufacturers come together to share ideas and move the industry forward.”

The VR Summit at Amusement Expo will take place at the Westgate Hotel in Las Vegas on June 29th from 8:30 AM until 5:00 PM. It is followed by the Amusement Expo International trade show at the Las Vegas Convention Center on June 30 and July 1. For more information on Amusement Expo go to www.amusementexpo.org
