Coffee and Conversation

2024 kicked off with Coffee and Conversation at Lawlss in Appleton - members enjoyed some pre-work networking and a good cup of coffee with their fellow YPs. This free event will run every-other month, with our next being held on March 12 at Sweet Lair. At the March event, the Engagement Committee will be holding their first “Give Back” campaign – obtaining professional clothing for the Community Clothes Closet! Consider donating gently used or new clothing for others to use on interviews and their new jobs. Clothing and monetary donations will be collected in March, both at Coffee and Conversation and the Fox Cities Chamber.

PULSE Champion February Renewal

RGL Logistics has renewed their PULSE Championship!

"2023 was a big year for RGL Logistics - We saw a great deal of growth, both internally with our teammates, as well as externally, with our new 500,000 sq ft warehouse in Appleton going live. We are excited to continue with that trajectory in 2024 and appreciate the relationships we've been able to build with the Fox Cities Chamber and the support they've provided to not only our young professionals but our company as a whole."

Meet Sarah Holschuh

Events Coordinator

SCHEELS

Meet Sarah Holschuh! Sarah grew up in the Fox Valley with 5 brothers and sisters, but ventured to Ave Maria University on the gulf coast of Florida for a degree in marketing. She now works as an Events Coordinator at SCHEELS in Appleton. Sarah loves reading at local coffee shops, running, and singing – she performs with the Badger State Women’s Choir in her spare time! On her days off, you might find Sarah at YOGA3 or Bona Fide if she’s not walking a trail with her sister’s dog, Milo. You may recognize Sarah as she is an active member of our Social Committee.

What brought you back to the Fox Cities?

“Growing up in this community, going to school, going to church, playing sports, and learning to love the arts, was the greatest blessing! I moved back to the Fox Cities after graduating college, and quickly realized that this was where I wanted to be. I was given so many opportunities here, and I want my future family to contribute to and benefit from this amazing community in all the ways that I did.“

What has been your favorite PULSE event?

“My favorite PULSE event is the Coffee and Conversations! I really enjoy getting to meet new people over a casual cup of coffee in the morning. It's always a very relaxed environment, and a great way to meet other young professionals in the Valley.”

Black Sheep

by Rachel Harrison

Nobody has a “normal” family, but Vesper Wright’s is truly...something else. Vesper left home at eighteen and never looked back—mostly because she was told that leaving the staunchly religious community she grew up in meant she couldn’t return. But then an envelope arrives on her doorstep.

When Vesper’s homecoming exhumes a terrifying secret, she’s forced to reckon with her family’s beliefs and her own crisis of faith in this deliciously sinister novel that explores the way family ties can bind us as we struggle to find our place in the world.

PULSE Volunteer Opportunities

The Engagement Committee is running a professional clothing drive for the Community Clothes Closet. Through the month of March, drop of your new or gently used professional attire at the Chamber! We will also collect clothing at our Coffee and Conversation on March 12th at Sweet Lair. The Community Clothes Closet serves the Fox Cities as a way to provide for our community, and as young professionals, we can donate to help others find the right clothes to take on a new job or interview. Monetary donations are also accepted and will be used to purchase the clothing needed most by the volunteers that run the organization. Join us in our first “Give Back” campaign of 2024!
