An Affordable Health Care Solution for Your Employees Starting at $35/month!
Here's the problem:

  • Both employer and employee contribution to health care costs increase yearly

  • Connecticut ranks #2 in terms of states with the highest percentage of workforce with high deductible health plans (ie, employees are paying more for their care) (Source: ValuePenguin January 25, 2021)
  • Access to care is difficult and care is fragmented between multiple places

  • Every day an employee is out of work because they couldn't get access to a health care professional affects small businesses

What if I told you that you could give your employees copay-free primary care with direct access to their doctor that didn't depend on health insurance, and started at $35/month?

Two years ago, I quit my job with a vision to redesign health care built around the patient and affordability, which I shared at TEDxHartford 2020 (see video link). And it works for employers really well!

Here's how it works:

  • Patients (or their employer) pay a low cost monthly membership fee which includes all of their primary care physician consultations - in-person visits, email, telehealth, texting, phone calls - without any copays! And there are no long-term contracts!

  • We take care of a smaller number of patients, which means we can get our patients in much quicker, we know them really well, and we can give them as much time as they need.

  • We believe in simplicity. Why can't you fill out your registration online? Do you really need to be sitting in a waiting room with a clipboard full of papers? We leverage the benefit of technology so it helps our patients.

  • We help you save money - with our own special pricing for labs and medications that are often times magnitudes cheaper than using a health benefit or even discount cards.

And yes, we are also a small business like many of you!

100% local100% independent100% physician-owned - on a mission to disrupt the status quo with the following aims:

  • To encourage people to expect more from and to efficiently navigate our failing health care system

  • To inspire physicians to not succumb to the 60% burnout rate by learning of innovative care delivery models

  • To support the economy by partnering with businesses with local partnerships and by providing care to their employees

  • To revive the notion that a Physician is a visible leader in their greater community

We work with individuals of all ages (we practice Internal Medicine, Pediatrics, and Obesity Medicine), offer a wide variety of services (including weight optimization, aesthetics, massage therapy), and work with individuals of all socioeconomic and financial levels, insured and uninsured.
Studies have shown that employers can save up to 40% of health care costs with models like ours.

Large well-known organizations are moving to adopt Direct Primary Care into their employee benefits - how will that compete with smaller businesses?

A local government that offered Direct Primary Care saved $1.28 million dollars!

Would love to have the opportunity to care for you and your employees. Reach out to us for a cup of coffee?

About Dr. Kainkaryam
Dr. Kainkaryam is a "Doctorpreneur" and Founder of 4 Elements Direct Primary Care, and host of the 4 Elements of Health Care Podcast. He is a triple board-certified Internist, Pediatrician, and Obesity Medicine specialist, and holds a Masters in Health Informatics.

He has been fortunate to have held a variety of roles as a community physician and regional medical director in a large health system, a medical director of a healthcare startup, and as Chief Medical Officer of a federally qualified health center. Having worked at the VA and in Corrections, he draws from the best in all of his experiences.
4 Elements Direct Primary Care is his "ikigai" - a convergence of his previous experiences, as he disrupts the traditional model of health care by infusing his personal philosophies of care with evidence-informed medicine and personalized care. His model is built around the patient relationship as opposed to the business or financial model of care by offering a low cost monthly membership that is inclusive of all of his primary care consultations, thereby reducing barriers to care.

He provides an individualized approach to medicine that acknowledges the various determinants of health, including individual behaviors, genetics, and social determinants, and incorporates integrative approaches, including the NADA protocol ear acupuncture. By partnering with other local businesses offering integrative solutions in a shared space model, he tries to bring the best of all worlds to his patients.

Dr. Kainkaryam's "4E Philosophy" is how he works with his patients: engage, educate, empower and encourage. Similarly, his podcast focuses on four elements while looking at the healthcare experience through the lens of the patient: the doctor, patient, system and society. He is a husband to an Anesthesiologist and a father of three daughters, and assures us that despite his fascination with the number four, he is planning on keeping his number of children at three!
