Dear Participants and Enthusiasts of the Lime Rock Historic Festival,

What a terrible time the country is having. Before continuing, I would like to express my personal sympathy, and that of the entire Historic Festival team, to those of you who may be directly involved in the painful effects inflicted by the pandemic. Please be well and know that our thoughts are with you.

While our beloved racetrack in its secret valley in the Litchfield Hills is not resounding with the open exhausts of happier times, a small, essential crew are continuing their assiduous maintenance program of the facility. Likewise, the Historic Festival Planning Committee is meeting remotely on a regular basis to plan and prepare for our traditional Labor Day Weekend event. I believe you should know that if it is at all possible to run the Festival this year, we are dedicated to moving forward.

In fact, we are desperately looking forward to the sights and sounds of “vintage” and “historic” racing to manifest themselves in no uncertain manner as the Autumn leaves begin to adopt their splendid colors across the hillsides. Obviously, we will observe whatever extensive rules and regulations that are mandated to preserve and protect the health and safety of all concerned, participants and spectators alike.

Some of the special events that we're planning include an enduro for sporting cars built before 1970, half of which will take place at Lime Rock Park’s Labor Day Weekend and the other half a week later at Watkins Glen during the 2020 U.S. Vintage Grand Prix, a SVRA SpeedTour event.

Please stay tuned for more updates in the future, and in the meantime, be safe and well. Don't hesitate to get in touch if you have any questions.
