An enormous “THANK YOU” goes out to our entire Day in the Country "Imagine" committee! It was wonderful to gather together in person with so many friends and supporters. The venue, the food, the wine, the auction items, and mostly the company made it a night to remember!

We are most grateful for our very generous Event Sponsors, our Donors and our Bidders! With all this support, we are able to continue to meet the needs of our community!

“Give Where You Live”

RECORD-BREAKING ANNUAL DAY IN THE COUNTRY--"IMAGINE"

Attendees at the 2022 annual fundraiser--back after a three year hiatus (2019 was cancelled and we used a virtual platform in 2020-21--were not disappointed! As Donna mentioned in her ED Message, the evening was a perfect opportunity to bring friends of the Foundation back together.

Karen La Corte and her Teams brought the flair back with more than 100 items available for raffle, silent bids or live auction, by Auctioneer Bill Christopher taking in top dollar and even doubling some of the items!

Thank you to all who attended, donated, sponsored and bid!

NEWS FROM GILROY FOUNDATION'S

LATINO FAMILY FUND

LOOKING BACK: How it all began...

Latino Family Fund was started in 2006 with our "Founding Families." Latino Family Fund was formed by these families because they wanted to make a bigger impact, do more for their community, and create a philanthropic legacy in Gilroy for generations to come. Thank you to our founding families. Latino Family Fund is forever grateful!

Latinx Heritage Month was recognized from September 15 - October 15. Through this month and beyond, Gilroy Foundation invites you to join us in honoring the history, achievements, leadership and resilience of Latinx communities!

2023 GILROY FOUNDATION GRANT CYCLE IS OPEN!

All nonprofits with a 501(c)(3) status, GUSD schools and Gilroy City programs are invited to apply for a Gilroy Foundation grant that will serve the Gilroy community.

Since 1980, Gilroy Foundation has awarded over $16.3 million in grants and scholarships. Foundation grants have made a positive and powerful difference in every sphere of life in the community. To apply, download and application.

YOUTH BOARD: LEARNING ABOUT LEADERSHIP AND COMMUNITY

Gilroy Foundation adopted a DEI (Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion) Policy in early 2022 and we have spent the last several months educating our Boards and updating staff on the changes that occur. We received initial training on DEI and have pledged to continue each month to move Gilroy Foundation forward by using these values as a lens through which we conduct our day-to-day business.

At their October Youth Board meeting, students were treated to a brief overview of DEI and how it applies to them and the work they do on Youth Board.

Gilroy Foundation Ambassador and trained DEI Specialist Stephanie Wemusa made the presentation and they were a rapt audience!

SHINING A SPOTLIGHT ON JACI MURO AND RENEE GARCIA!

It was a night to be very proud!

Attending the Leadership Gilroy 2022 Graduation Ceremony on October 12, we witnessed the culmination of 10 months of planning, meeting and executing a very successful project —they raised $73k for the Gilroy Veterans Hall toward the kitchen renovation! A well-attended October 1st event brought awareness to this aging building.

Congratulations, Renee Garcia (R) on your Graduation, Leadership Gilroy Class of 2022.

Also honored at this event was Latino Family Fund ED, Jaci Muro (L), who received the L.I.F.T Award from Leadership Gilroy! Jaci, a graduate of the Class of 2021, definitely exemplifies the "Lead, Inspire, Focus, Team" throughout the community, on Leadership Gilroy's board, and in her career.

Gilroy Foundation is very PROUD of Renee and Jaci!
