Council Considers Strategy

To Accelerate EVs, Greenhouse Gas Inventory & New Climate Priorities

Don't miss this big climate evening as the City Council selects from a menu of public actions to speed up adoption of Electric Vehicles in San Rafael. Based on a new countywide plan to accelerate replacement of gas cars, eliminating the largest source of greenhouse gas emissions in Marin.

The EV action is coupled with discussion of the City's latest GHG inventory showing a 21% reduction since 1990. That's half the City's target of 40% by 2030. That means a lot of EVs need to be sold and a lot of homes and businesses electrified in the next 7 years.

To get us there, the Council will also consider the City's climate priorities for the coming 2 years.

7:00pm, Tuesday, September 5

City Hall, 1400 5th Ave
