MY SHAKE

The My Shake App now has coverage in Oregon. This is the cell-friendly version of shake alert. It would give you 60 seconds+ warning when a Cascadia Subduction Zone event happens.

My Shake gives early earthquake warnings, helps you quickly understand the impact of an earthquake, gives you the opportunity to share your experience, and turns your device into an earthquake sensor.

OCVA IS CALLING FOR ALL PASSIONATE COASTAL CULINARIANS

Recruiting chefs, instructors and culinary professionals with a passion for our local seafood!

Do you have expertise in breaking down seafood? Have you ever thought of teaching others how to do it? Showcase your ability, get paid, and grow the skills of culinary professionals on the Oregon Coast!
OCVA is recruiting Oregon chefs who possess the skill and passion to teach coastal culinarians how to: fabricate, break down and ultimately demonstrate various uses for the seafood and its by products or trim. It is our desire to inspire a coastal culinary culture where local seafood ingredients are the norm and can dominate the menus instead of being culinary anomalies!
We seek to connect coastal fishers with coastal chefs and other culinary professionals as each of these professions are critical to our visitor economy and countless others workers in the local food chain. To be successful, we are creating a training program that will be ongoing-coinciding with the seasonality of "the local catch". We want these skills widely shared to create a dynamic environment for learning.

We want you!
