Dear Friends,
On this Easter Sunday we celebrate the miracle of God’s love for us which surpasses all understanding. His love and the sacrifice of his Son allows our hearts and minds to dare to hope for new beginnings.
There are few times in the history of humankind when so many have hoped and prayed so fervently for a fresh start than is the case this Easter.
As we celebrate the resurrection of our Lord and Savior, we renew our souls with hopes and dreams. These hopes do not repair our hearts, but they do open the path to healing.
As we begin to gather together again, we will never forget those we have lost during this difficult time, but we do gain strength from being able to share memories amid embraces.
Most importantly, we are reminded of what we may have forgotten through our pain, which is the constant presence of God in our lives.
He knows what is on our hearts and offers His grace and forgiveness and love. He blesses us with the strength to persevere, with gifts that we may better serve, and with courage to let go of our worldly desires as we follow His plan for our lives.
Here at the NY Race Track Chaplaincy, on Easter and every day, we are thankful for all of you and grateful for your partnership in our God-given mission in support of a community of individuals and their families who have struggled mightily this year, as have you.
We thank you, we pray for you, and together we celebrate the miracle of new beginnings.
