CUTTING THE RIBBON

STATE CHAMBER UNVEILS NEWLY REIMAGINED OFFICE SPACE

The plot of land for One Commerce Center was originally donated to the Delaware State Chamber of Commerce by DuPont and has been the location we have called home since 1983. After reinvesting in the space, we are proud to now have a more open and collaborative place for meetings and events with technological additions that allow us to continue serving as a future-ready and forward-thinking organization for Delawareans to connect and solve problems together.

Thank you to Mayor Mike Purzycki, Senator Sarah McBride, Representative Stephanie T. Bolden, and nearly 100 of our members for joining us at our grand reopening this week!

PRESIDENT'S MESSAGE

The month of June saw nonfarm payrolls grow by 206,000, “but the growth was narrow” according to a CNBC story. “Health care and social assistance added 82,400 positions, while government grew by 70,000 jobs. Several categories saw employment shrink, including manufacturing and professional and business services.” As the U.S. population grows older, and Delaware ranks among the oldest states in the country, growth in the health care sector comes as no surprise. Read more >
