24-Hour Ice Fishing Extravaganza

This is a fan favorite as volunteers head out to their local lakes to see how many fish they can land in a 24-hour period. Volunteers are asked to get a minimum of 10 pledges for every fish they catch and commit to fishing as many hours as they can, beginning at 7AM on Saturday, March 7th.

This year, we'll see who can unseat Cory Glieden, our reigning champion from last year. Cory holds the record with fishing a full 24 hours and reeling up over 100 fish to bring in more than $5,000 in donations.

To check out the leader board and place a pledge to your favorite angler visit:

Current Pledge Leaders:
1) Collin Hackl $23 per fish caught
2) Shea Landa $22 per fish caught
3) Todd Schwab $6 per fish caught

Participating anglers take photos of their fish and self-score their catch. A grand prize is awarded to the angler with the most funds raised. Other prizes will also be given for the best photos, biggest fish, and more!

Tucker's Sandlot Powered by JP4 Foundation

Since 2017, the JP4 Foundation has partnered with Play Laugh Love to bring the game of baseball to over 750 kids throughout the Twin Cities. These sandlot type gatherings take place after school in the Robbinsdale, Minnetonka, and Hopkins communities. The sandlots are coached by local high school ball players looking to give back to their community. All kids are provided with coaching, equipment, and an atmosphere of fun. Participation is free and open to any child that wishes to attend. After quality coaching and an exciting Sandlot game, every child is served a healthy meal to enjoy with new friends.

Upcoming sandlot dates are Monday, March 9th at Gatewood Elementary and Monday, March 23rd at Glen Lake Elementary. If you are interested in getting involved, please contact the JP4 Foundation at  info@JP4Foundation.org

Meet One of Our Newest Board Members

Sammy Hogan grew up in the northwest suburbs of Chicago where there was only one team, the Cubs. That meant there was only one sport to play, baseball. Sammy did her best impression of the Cub players, playing baseball until the 6th grade. At that time, she was introduced to softball and the rest was history. Sammy played elite club softball where she traveled around the country with 15 of the best girls in the Midwest. In high school, she lettered for the St. Viator Varsity Softball team all four years. She went on to play college softball at the University of St. Thomas under the decorated coach John Tschida. She earned various MIAC and NCAA awards throughout her career. Sammy continues to stay involved in the softball community and is looking forward to serving as a JP4 Foundation board member.

When asked what drove her to contribute her time and talents to JP4, Sammy replied, "I believe sports brings people together in every sense of life. No matter who you are, there is so much learned and gained by participating in sports. I see the JP4 Foundation as an opportunity to give back to the sporting community that has given me so much already."
