Dinner for Two from Abigail's American Bistro in Highland Park!

For the fifth meal in our Vin Chicago Culinary Connection, we partner with Chef
Michael Paulsen
, proprietor of Abigail's American Bistro at 493 Roger Williams Avenue in Highland Park.
Named after his eldest daughter, Abigail's offers a true farm-to-table experience. One of our favorite fine dining restaurants on the North Shore, Chef Paulsen puts out food with a quality and elegance that equals what you'll find in the hippest, most food-centric neighborhood in the city.
If you've not yet dined at Abigail's, we think you're going to love the meals he and manager Cindy Jarvis - a longtime friend of the Vin Chicago family - have created.
Each meal includes a salad and an appetizer along with two (2) portions of the main course. As is tradition at Abigail's, each meal also comes with their signature Cheddar-Scallion Biscuits and a selection of Housemade Mini Cookies.
If you select the NY Strip, please include the temperature you would like each of the two steaks cooked.
The dinners can be ordered for pickup between 5:00 and 7:30pm on Wednesday, April 29th, Thursday, April 30th and Friday, May 1st.
When you place your order, please indicate a pickup time in the Comments box.
To allow the Chef time to prepare your meal, orders must be placed no later than 11:00am the day of your meal.
1) NY Strip Steak & Frites - Dinner for Two
Tuscan Kale Salad - cranberries, pine nuts, parmesan, olive oil, balsamic, lemon
Cavatappi Pasta - mushrooms, parmesan, herbs, truffle
NY Strip Steak & Frites - green beans, fries, bordelaise, herb butter
2) Chicken Vesuvio - Dinner for Two
Grilled Romaine Salad - tomato, creamy pecorino dressing, brioche croutons
Shrimp Risotto - parmesan, cream, herbs
Half Chicken Vesuvio - crispy potato wedges, english peas, butter, garlic, lemon
3) Miso-Caramel Glazed Salmon - Dinner for Two
Roasted Beets -
goat cheese fritters, arugula, candied pistachios, aged sherry vinaigrette
Roasted Cauliflower - miso, tahini, peanuts, pickled onions, scallions, cilantro
Miso-Caramel Glazed Salmon - brown rice, charred sugar snap peas, sesame
The price for each of these two person multi-course meals is $80. After tax and 15% tip, the total cost is $99. Trust us, you'll love the food - and you are almost certain to have leftovers. (The Chicken Vesuvio meal, for example, includes TWO half chickens!)

Total cost includes the food, tax and a 15% tip for the kitchen team. 100% of the amount paid will go directly to the restaurant.
