END OF SUMMER GIVEAWAY AND MORE!

Hey, what happened to summer? It feels as if someone flipped a gigantic switch and we're moving into fall. The temperatures have dipped, and nights are cooler. The Dog Days of summer are over, but our trees are still green. To those of you who are still roasting, or your land is parched, you have my sympathy. Autumn is approaching.

Over Labor Day weekend, my husband and I spent 3 peaceful days at the beach. No TV or newspaper. The perfect escape from the world events I have no control over. Being secluded on the island over the weekend was relaxing as I finished writing my blog post. Have you seen my current  blog giveaway ? Good luck to all who enter to win Susie and Noah, 2 darling Amish-made dolls, plus one of my signed Amish novels! I wish I could read your comments on the blog individually, but I've come to the sad conclusion that I can't multitask as well as I thought I could.

What's new? I'm thrilled that A Letter from Lancaster County is now available as an Audible AudiobookStarting from Scratch will also be made into an Audible later in the fall. I'll keep you updated.

People have asked me what's on my agenda. Both of my former publishers have discontinued buying fiction. Huh? Life without fiction would be painfully dull, don't you think? However, I've sold and written an Amish Christmas novella to be released in 2019. Yes, you read that right. The wheels turn slowly in the world of writing. But that gives me plenty of time to edit and reread it. And my agent is working on selling another project. I'll keep you posted.

I'm grateful for the terrific reviews for Starting from Scratch and A Letter from Lancaster County! Thank you to all who have encouraged me. Humungous thanks to the readers who wrote reviews on Amazon and other online book vendors. If you've considered writing a review but have hesitated, they only need to be two or three sentences long. In fact, those are the ones that get read the most. And they are hugely appreciated! Future publishers really do look at them when assessing a new author.

Be sure to enter my giveaway to  win Noah and Susie, two darling Amish-made dolls from Lancaster County, PA. Plus one signed copy of Starting from ScratchA Letter from Lancaster County , or one of 3 books from  The Legacy of Lancaster County Trilogy -either  Leaving Lancaster , its sequel,  Pennsylvania Patchwork , or  Forever Amish . Winner has 3 days to respond. US and Canada only.
