MORE ABOUT THE PROGRAM

On February 7, we will be hosting our 10th annual New England First Amendment Awards . During this event, we honor those who have defended the First Amendment and the public's right to know.

Previous honorees include Stephen Engelberg of ProPublica; Jane Mayer of the New Yorker; Margaret Sullivan of The Washington Post; and James Risen , formerly of The New York Times.

The luncheon is part of the New England Newspaper & Press Association 's winter two-day conference which is attended by hundreds of journalists, editors and attorneys. During the conference, students can attend workshops and discussions on topics such as Interviewing, Podcasting, Storytelling and Legal Issues Facing College Media.

Journalism departments throughout the region can provide their students a unique opportunity to hear inspiring stories from our honorees, network with experienced journalists and participate in two days of valuable conference discussions and workshops.
