An Important Message from Lazers Soccer Club

To Lazers Soccer Club members and the soccer community in Peachtree City,

As we have received questions from several members, Lazers Soccer Club would like to provide our members with clarification of the youth soccer organization in Peachtree City and surrounding area.

Lazers Soccer Club (PTCYSA) has been providing service to the community for over 40 years and we continue to provide the highest level recreational soccer experience in the country. This will be showcased this weekend (May 20th-21st) as we host 101 teams at the sixth annual Atlanta Season Finale.

Our select affiliate is, has been and will continue to be AFC Lightning. Everyone at Lazers is energized, enthused and excited about the direction of AFC Lightning under the leadership of Steve Muccillio. We believe that AFC Lightning provides the best opportunities for players in Fayette County, and the greater south Atlanta area, to achieve their goals in soccer.

The partnership between AFC Lightning and Lazers has and continues to produce players who excel at the highest levels of the game, succeeding at the select, collegiate and professional levels. AFC Lightning can do this by being the only club in Peachtree City that is able to offer the highest level of competition, with teams in the fall 2017 playing in US Soccer Development Academy, R3PL, NPL, Classic 1 and Athena A.

AFC Lightning provided the most prolific path to professional soccer in the south Atlanta areas. AFC Lightning players who have played internationally include Kelley O'Hara (2015 Women's World Cup winner with U.S Women's National Team, Sky Blue FC), Ricardo Clark (United States Men's National Team, Houston Dynamo), Clint Mathis (United Men's National Team, Los Angeles Galaxy, Metro Stars) and Marshall Leonard (New England Revolution).

Lazers Soccer Club and AFC Lightning are not-for-profit (IRS 501 (c) (3)) corporations. Both organizations, share a common mission to promote youth soccer for participants at all levels and to make youth soccer players good citizens by instilling the positive values of sports through the development of confidence, work ethic, professionalism, self-improvement, personal responsibility, and respect. Lazers Soccer Club and AFC Lightning take pride in fulfilling their mission by providing our member families with the best programming available at the lowest possible cost.

Lazers has not and will not recommend players to, or provide support for, any other select organization regardless of location, facility or employee.

We are fully committed to enhancing and growing our long standing and mutually beneficial relationship with AFC Lightning.
