2026-2027 School Start & End Times

This morning, the Piedmont Public Schools Board of Education approved new start and end times for the 2026-2027 school year. These changes were necessary due to the passage of Senate Bill 1481, which amends state law to require all students in kindergarten through fifth grade to receive 40 minutes of recess each school day. Under the law, 20 of those recess minutes do not count toward the state's required instructional minutes schools must provide.

To ensure Piedmont Public Schools continues to meet Oklahoma's instructional time requirements while complying with the new recess mandate, the school day will be extended by 15 minutes. This adjustment allows us to provide students with the required recess time while maintaining the high-quality instructional program our students need.

As we prepare for the new school year, please review the updated start and end times for each school. Families are encouraged to plan ahead for morning drop-off and afternoon pick-up to help ensure a smooth start and end to each school day.

Morning Drop-off: 8:05 a.m.

School Starts: 8:15 a.m.

Carline Opens: 3:10 p.m.

School Ends: 3:30 p.m.

Stone Ridge Elementary School

Morning Drop-off: 8:15 a.m.

School Starts: 8:30 a.m.

Carline Opens: 3:00 p.m.

School Ends: 3:45 p.m.

Middle School of Piedmont
