Greetings,
We are writing to share that TESL Ontario has joined the We’re Better Together campaign as a partner organization. Led by the Canadian Council for Refugees and supported by unions, NGOs, and human rights organizations across Canada, the campaign aims to highlight and strengthen public support for immigrants and refugees at a time of growing division and misinformation.
As an organization representing professionals who work closely with newcomers across Ontario, TESL Ontario recognizes the vital contributions immigrants and refugees make to our communities, classrooms, and society as a whole. The We’re Better Together campaign offers a platform to affirm these values and to amplify a collective message of inclusion, fairness, and shared responsibility.
“As educators and advocates working alongside newcomers every day, we see firsthand the resilience, talent, and contributions that immigrants and refugees bring to Canada. Showing our support as a community at this moment is both timely and important. The We’re Better Together campaign aligns with our commitment to equity, belonging, and a welcoming society for all.”
