Summer Updates

An Important Message

Dear Friends of Art with a Heart in Healthcare,

We hope this letter finds you enjoying the summer. We are writing to share an important update regarding Art with a Heart in Healthcare's efforts to continue providing fine art experiences that enhance the healing process for patients and their families in healthcare settings.

As you may know, our non-profit relies heavily on grants and funding from various sources to sustain our mission. Unfortunately, due to recent budget cuts in our state's funding for arts and culture, we have experienced a significant reduction in financial support. Specifically, we lost a critical $50,000 grant that has been instrumental in funding our programs and initiatives.

This loss of funding has created a difficult situation for us. Now, more than ever, we need the support from generous donors like you to continue our important work. Your donation will directly support the facilitation of art sessions, the purchase of art supplies, and the maintenance of partnerships with healthcare facilities.

To donate or learn more about our programs, please visit our website at www.awahih.org or contact us directly at 904-306-0390 or info@awahih.org.

Thank you for your continued support of Art with a Heart in Healthcare and for considering our funding needs during this critical time. We understand that these are challenging times for many, and any contribution you can make will be greatly appreciated. Together, we can ensure that art remains a vital part of the healing journey for patients and families in our community.

Warmly,

Toni Boudreaux-Godwin, MPA

In honor of the beautiful life of Gillian Vaughan (11/17/2000-6/30/2024), we fondly reflect on the moments shared with her as a patient, a cherished volunteer artist, and a beloved friend. Gillian's presence brought light and joy to all those around her, leaving a lasting impact on our team and community. May her memory continue to inspire us to embrace kindness, creativity, and friendship in all that we do.

In collaboration with the Tom Coughlin Jay Fund, AWAHIH facilitated art sessions during Remembrance Weekend. This event was designed to offer solace and support to families navigating the loss of a child to pediatric cancer. By providing a creative outlet and a safe space for expression, AWAHIH aimed to honor the memories of these children and foster a sense of unity and healing among the attendees.
