Dear NAF Nation:

The novel coronavirus (COVID-19) continues to affect our daily lives, and we understand the larger implications on NAF Nation. We wanted to provide an update, as we continue to closely monitor developments.

As of Monday, March 16th, NAF's headquarters in New York City will be closed until further notice and all staff will be working remotely. All academy and business related travel will also be halted for NAF employees for the time being.

We are tracking on school closings and how we can be most supportive of our academies, schools, and districts. Additionally, NAF is working on an alternative plan for YOP and Fast Track graduations as well as examining other forms of delivery for planned professional development activities. We continue to remain committed to our academies and partners and will make adjustments during this uncertain time. Please feel free to reach out to your direct NAF contact with any specific questions or concerns.

After careful consideration, we have also decided to postpone NAF's annual Benefit until the Fall. For academies invited to the Benefit, you will be hearing from NAF’s Institutional Advancement team with more information. We will continue to be in touch with additional updates on these and our other national events. As previously mentioned, will be delaying registration for NAF Next 2020 and will provide updates as the situation continues to unfold. We are eager to proceed with next steps for the Leadership Discovery Summit and notifying accepted and waitlist applicants. Given the rapid updates about school closures, remote work, and other changes being made in our communities, we want to keep in mind everything our communities are focused on at the moment. We will be delaying notification and will reach out as soon as possible.  For any questions on these events, please email [email protected] .

Additionally, you might be hearing from your NAF contacts about local and regional event changes as well. Some activities may become virtual opportunities, while others will hopefully be rescheduled at a later time.

Also, please remember to check NAF's website for the latest updates.

If there is anything we can do to support you in the coming days, please let us know . Your well-being, and that of our students, remains first and foremost in our minds.

Regards,
JD and Lisa
