October 14, 2022 | Friday Five #129

On this day in history...

U.S. Air Force Captain Chuck Yeager became the first person to fly faster than the speed of sound. A feat long thought impossible Yeager flew the X-1 pictured here, over Rogers Dry Lake in Southern California. This flight with, "Glamorous Glennis," the lovely X-1 named for Yeager's wife, was actually kept a secret until the following year.

Stories like these really make us feel like nothing is impossible! We hope you feel just as inspired as we start off the weekend.

We've got a tight schedule this month, and we hope that you can find some time to enjoy some SCS programs with us! Read on for a special announcement for center members, technology tips and tricks, and more information on Medicare Open Enrollment and tech skills, your usual center highlights and more.

See you next week!
