Nature Exploration with the KC Zoo

Thurs, Oct 17 @ 10 am

Join the KC Zoo at the Library to explore the natural world! In this loosely structured nature play experience, there will be sensory activities and guided exploration using natural elements to encourage children to practice observation, description, experimentation, and more. Some special animal ambassadors will be visiting as well! Best for kiddos 2-5 years old. Register here!

Puffy Paint Pumpkins!

Join us for some early Halloween fun! We'll use puffy paint to make our own pumpkin paintings. This activity is great for toddlers and preschoolers. (And the paint should stay puffy once it dries!) Register here!

Special Halloween Storytime!

Ms. Jennifer loves Halloween, so join her for a special Halloween Storytime! We'll read some not-so-spooky Halloween stories, play a Halloween game, and make a fun craft. Register here!

Come sew a shawl to keep the chill off your shoulders, whether you're reading at home or walking outdoors on a chilly fall day! If desired, bring a 1/2 yd (60” width) of your favorite knit or fleece. This is a great way to use up a fabric remnant at home or from the fabric store!

This is an intermediate class, and we ask that participants have taken our Intro to the Machine class at some point in the past.

For adult sewists only. With instructor Patty Ibarra. Register here!
