Join With Us in Praising God for an UNPRECEDENTED Fruitful Year of Ministry with Next Generation Leaders!

In 2024, each of these five data points recorded the highest single-year total EVER in the 49-year history of Jesus-Focused Youth Ministry.

And 2025 is off to a strong start, as well!!

I am reminded of the passage in Ephesians 3:20-21 where Paul says,

“Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly

above all that we ask or think, according to the power

that works in us, to Him be glory in the church by

Christ Jesus to all generations, forever and ever.

Amen.”  

In 2024, God most certainly blew away any and all expectations we may have had! As we close in on the completion of the first quarter of ministry in 2025, here are a few praise reports and prayer requests, as we continue to see His hand in powerful and amazing ways.

CHURCH PLANTING…IN 2025!

The Kuria people live in southern Kenya, to the east of Lake Victoria. Last year, Pastor Thomas (a JFYM Eagle Leader) led a young couple to the Lord. That couple, excited to share the transforming work of God in their lives, led 16 other people to the Lord. On the 7th of January, they formed a church. This month, there are now 29 people attending this new church in Kuria! Take a moment to pray for this new congregation, and this couple who Pastor Thomas is continuing to train and mentor as they lead these new believers in reaching the next generation in Kuria!

SCHOOL MINISTRY…IN 2025!

Pastor Victor (a Jesus-Focused Youth Ministry trained pastor) was allowed to host an evening evangelistic event outside a local high school. Twenty students gave their lives to Jesus Christ that night! Pray for these students, as they begin their discipleship journey, and pray for Pastors Victor and Isaac as they continue to spiritually invest in the lives of these young men and women.

BUILDING TEAMS…IN 2025!

This month, in Rostov, Russia, JFYM training occurred at Renaissance Church with our Country Leader Pasha Koryakin. The leaders were led through an entire weekend where the principle of “team” was the focus. Topics they discussed included: (1) building effective teams, (2) setting goals, and (3) using the uniqueness of each member for fruitful and long-term service. During their time together, they also spent time modeling other important traits of healthy teams like prayer, fellowship, and times of in-depth sharing.

PRAYING FOR THE LOST…IN 2025!

99% of the population in Zanzibar is Muslim. This month, the pastors who attended the JFYM Forum in Kianga were taught the principle of 3 people praying together 3 times a week for 3 people who need Jesus. Then, they DID what they were taught! Will you join with them as they intercede for the many people in Zanzibar who need Jesus? (Last year our leadership team in Zanzibar trained 160 leaders in Jesus-Focused Youth Ministry and planted 2 churches!)

FAITHFUL PERSEVERANCE…IN 2025!

This month in downtown Havana, at an outdoor venue, the Asociacion Convencion Bautista de Cuba Occidental held their annual assembly. Two highlights: 

                 (1) For the third year in a row, Havana allowed this evangelical association to host this event, a visual testimony to the city of those worshiping God and speaking His Word! (This event, attended by over 3,000 people, has been allowed to occur outside because the largest Baptist church in Cuba was severely damaged in the tragic Hotel Saratoga explosion on May 6, 2022.)

                 (2) Elio Martiz, Reach Out Youth Solution’s Country Leader for Cuba, was recognized by the Convention for 20 years of pastoral ministry in Cuba! What a blessing Elio and Leydis are to Reach Out Youth Solutions, Almendares Church, the country of Cuba, and the body of Christ! Elio and Leydis, we celebrate with you, praising God for all that He has done through your faithful service over the last 20 years! Will you take a moment to thank God for Elio and Leydis and pray for them as they continue to lead the training and multiplying of leaders in Cuba who are making a difference in the next generation?

ADDITIONAL PRAYER REQUESTS…IN 2025:

Pray for our leadership team in DRC. Many of our leaders are still displaced from their homes and are facing significant food insecurity and the potential of physical persecution.

Pray for our leadership team as they plan for the expansion of JFYM in South Asia. Although much of this work is unable to be made public, God continues to open doors and provide people of peace with whom we are working. Also, as this work expands rapidly in the 10/40 Window, we are also in need of additional financial partners who will excitedly join us in this part of the world!

Pray for Billy Banda’s wife, Rebecca, as she is at home recovering from an unexpected, emergency surgery. Billy is our Country Leader for Malawi.

We thank God for all that He did in 2024, while also pressing forward into 2025 with an unwavering commitment to equip and multiply leaders globally who influence the younger generation to follow Jesus.
