This fall, the Cranbrook Chamber of Commerce is hosting a Regional Economic Summit to bring together representatives from the Forestry, Mining, Agriculture, and Tech sectors to discuss the challenges and opportunities being faced in the Kootenays.

The afternoon panel discussion will feature representatives from the above sectors to discuss what is being done at a provincial level to prepare these sectors for (and support them through) their challenges.

COMMUNITY PROSPERITY FUND

Thanks to a $25 million investment from the Government of B.C., the Community Prosperity Fund will work to advance poverty reduction and social inclusion by providing funding for the ongoing work of organizations across B.C., with funding decisions made by local community foundations. Cranbrook has access to this funding through Community Foundation of the Kootenay Rockies!

Several key resources are now available, including the program timeline, Applicant Guide, PDF Application Form, and map of participating community foundations. The online application portal closes June 24, 2024.
