April 2023 Newsletter

Hello District 2 Neighbors,

March was a busy month! We had two City Council meetings, multiple commission meetings, and various events around the city. I had the opportunity to tour the Joe and Mary Mottino Family YMCA, I thoroughly enjoyed learning about their facilities and vision to grow. Oceanside recognized the outstanding achievements of a few of our local high school seniors through the Rising Star of the Month Award. Oceanside Fire Department hosted an incredible Fire Ops 101 event at their training facility. Assemblymember Laurie Davies recognized one of Oceanside's best by awarding Robbie Hass the 74th Assembly District's Woman of the Year Award. April should be another exciting month! Read below for to find out what's happening in District 2!

Sincerely,

Councilmember Rick Robinson

O'SIDE DEMYSTIFIED

The first episode of "O'SIDE DEMYSTIFIED" has been released! You can view it on my website under the tab with the same title. This is a podcast-like show where I will spend each episode explaining how different parts of the city operate. I plan to interview different guests who serve in various capacities around the city. The goal of this project is to give the viewer a better understanding of how things get done in our city. Our second episode featuring Chief Armijo is in the editing process and will be released later this month. OsideD2.com/osidedemystified.
