Hello District 2 Neighbors,

My name is Rick Robinson. This past November, I was honored to be elected as your new City Councilmember. Thank you for placing your trust in me to represent our incredible district. In an effort to maintain transparency and keep everyone informed on important issues and events, I have created this newsletter which you can sign up here to receive monthly.

I have multiple objectives I hope to accomplish during this time as your Councilmember. These include securing housing for all who desire to live in Oceanside, increasing business and job opportunities across the city, expanding the level of public safety provided to District 2 residents, and working to overcome the impacts of homelessness.

I plan to achieve these objectives by making informed decisions based on what I have learned throughout my extensive career as a leader in public safety, my experience as a 35-year resident of Oceanside, and most importantly, the needs of the people, which I strongly encourage you to share with me.

Again, thank you to all who supported me in my effort to represent District 2, I am truly grateful. I look forward to improving our community and welcome any questions, comments, or concerns. What's new in District 2?

O'SIDE DEMYSTIFIED

A new project I have been working on since being sworn in as a City Councilmember is called "O'SIDE DEMYSTIFIED." This is a podcast-like show where I will spend each episode explaining how different parts of the city operate. I plan to interview different guests who serve in various capacities around the city. The goal of this project is to give the viewer a better understanding of how things get done in our city. Watch the first episode on KOCT's channel 19 this month! Celebrate St. Patrick's Day at Arrowood Golf Course

Arrowood Golf Course is hosting a St. Patrick's Day Celebration on March 17th at 5:00pm. Join other District 2 residents for an evening of FUN! Enjoy live music and art from Sergio, green beer, crafts for kids and much more! No registration is necessary. Local Business Highlight

A recurring section of this newsletter will be dedicated to highlighting local businesses here in Oceanside which we encourage you to support. For the first edition of this newsletter, we would like to recognize Marieta's Fine Mexican Food & Cocktails.
