An Update Regarding Pellet Orders

The cold weather is on its way and here at Higgins Energy, we know how important it is to get your home and family ready for the season.

We are working diligently to get all paid pellet orders processed and delivered, but due to circumstances out of our control, we have experienced a backup in our pellet delivery schedule. We recognize the inconvenience this has caused and, rest assured, we are doing everything we can to make it right.

In the spirit of transparency, we wanted to reach out to you to provide an update regarding the reason for this delay and the changes we've made to get back on track.
First, the pandemic and inflation have created supply chain issues which have affected so many markets this year, including the pellet manufacturers we work with. Pellet production has been delayed, and as a result, our in-stock pellet availability has been severely impacted.

While we only have a few pellets in stock currently, we have been negotiating with our manufacturers to get more product out the door so we can satisfy our customers.

If you need to place an order, more pellets are scheduled to arrive soon and we will update our website as they come in stock.
The second reason for the setback is due to mechanical issues with our pellet truck. We experienced a catastrophic engine failure in our pellet truck early in the season, and while our team worked as quickly as they could to get the truck fixed, the engine parts they needed were extremely hard to find and on an extended wait time.

After the truck was finally repaired (thanks to our awesome service team), we began shipping pellet deliveries - but our delivery schedule was already delayed due to the repairs, and we have been trying to catch up ever since.
However, with only one driver, one truck, and quite a backup of pellet orders, we were in a bind. We knew we had to made some adjustments if we were going to get pellets delivered before the heating season.

So, we have some good news: we have added another pellet truck and to our lineup and hired additional drivers!

This will help us get pellets out faster and more efficiently, so in short: we will be catching up! The truck will be on the road within the next few days and deliveries will start speeding up, so the wait time for pellet orders should reduce thanks to the changes we've implemented.
It's been a challenge, but we are making great strides to overcome the issues we have faced this season and get your pellet orders out the door as quickly as possible.

Lastly, and most importantly, we want to thank you for your patience. We hope that with these changes, we can better provide you with the quality service you expect and deserve.

Thanks again for putting your trust in us – we are grateful for the opportunity to serve you.
Warmest Regards,

Ronald Higgins
