Dear Friends,

It’s hard to believe it’s been almost two years since we all said goodbye to our beloved Candlelight Pavilion. We took some time to relax and regroup, and after much reflection, it’s officially time to make new memories together.

The holiday season has always been such a magical time at Candlelight and we are missing all of your smiling faces this year. We wanted to reach out to you during this special time of year to update you on a few things to look forward to in the new year.

Although our search for a new Candlelight home has not yet come to fruition, we have decided we can’t stop creating as we continue to search. We are excited to announce that we are joining forces with a local theater company, Inland Pacific Ballet, to co-produce musicals in 2024. Zaylin Cano, the Executive Director and Acting Artistic Director, has been a part of our Candlelight family for many years. When she asked us to co-produce with Inland Pacific Ballet, we jumped at the opportunity to create musical theater as we continue to build our ‘new’ Candlelight.

Our first production together will be Beauty and the Beast in March 2024 at the beautiful Lewis Family Playhouse in Rancho Cucamonga, CA. You will see some of your favorite Candlelight performers featured in this production. Since we also haven’t recreated our box office, the Candlelight Pavilion will not be selling tickets. Instead, all tickets are sold directly through the Lewis Family Playhouse Box Office.

Should you have any questions about the upcoming co-production, there is a designated Candlelight line through Inland Pacific. Melissa McGill, Candlelight Pavilion box office manager (now a proud employee of Inland Pacific Ballet), will do her best to answer your questions. The phone number for the designated Candlelight Pavilion line at Inland Pacific Ballet is (909) 482-1590, ext 12. You can also reach Melissa by email at melissa@ipballet.org.

We are planning a Candlelight Pavilion Reception for Beauty and the Beast on Sunday, March 3rd featuring pre-show entertainment from Michael Ryan. If you aren't able to make it on March 3rd, don't worry! Mick will give his world-famous curtain speech at all of the performances. It will be wonderful to reconnect with those of you who are able to attend.

A "NEW" CANDLELIGHT

We also want to provide you with an update on our plans for the next iteration of Candlelight Pavilion. Our new design is set, the concept fleshed out, and now the real work begins in committing to a space. We’ve narrowed our search and will stay in the Inland Empire. While the economy and access to goods and services haven’t been in our favor of late, we have carefully stored all the contents of the Candlelight in a warehouse. Every booth, chandelier, kitchen supply, sound and lighting equipment, and the infamous Venetian curtain are all stored and awaiting their new home.

Candlelight Pavilion storage facility with booths, kitchen equipment, and our beloved chandeliers packed for safekeeping and awaiting a new space to call home.

Nevertheless, we are very aware that there will never be another Candlelight Pavilion. It was unique in every way. We are also aware, however, that what makes something special isn’t the structure but the heart and lifeblood inside. Not a day goes by that we don’t miss our beloved patrons and the gift we were given to provide amazing food and entertainment for our community. Know that we are thinking of you constantly and are looking forward to all of the new memories we will make in our new space.

We hope to see you in the near future, either at Inland Pacific, The Lewis Family Playhouse, or the future Candlelight 2.0.

Until that time, please take good care.
