Hello friends! I bring you greetings from the Fort McKinley Campus of Ginghamsburg Church! God is on the move at Fort McKinley and I just wanted to share some good news concerning what has been happening here.

As you may know, we have launched our free Breakfast Ministry on Sundays from 8:30-10am and it has been a hit! This ministry is absolutely a part of our DNA at Fort McKinley, and we are all so blessed to be able to bring it back. We have invited our neighbors in the 15-block neighborhood that surrounds Fort McKinley as well as the Valarie Arms neighborhood, just above Fort McKinley. The purpose of this ministry is to model Jesus’ love and compassion for all since Jesus eats
with everyone!

The word is really spreading about breakfast here and more and more people are attending and even staying for church afterwards. Just last week, I witnessed Fort McKinley members having incredible conversations with our neighbors at the table and the room was filled with laughter and care. There is always such a sweet spirit in the room for this ministry and I would like to invite you all to be a part of it, whether you would like to serve or just come for the fellowship. In other words, please be with us so that you can taste and see for yourself how wonderful it is to meet and serve our friends.
Another exciting opportunity we have at Fort McKinley is our partnership with Belle Haven Elementary School and all of you are invited to join in with us to serve their kids and families. We in this movement are all about faith, family and food and this initiative, along with our Kids Ministry at Fort McKinley, is how we reach our community. In August we're having a prayer walk at Belle Haven right before the students arrive. The purpose is to pray for their teachers, administrators and the incredible children who will be receiving an amazing education. If you are interested in joining us for this event, please call (937.277.7484) or email myself or Fort McKinley and you can engage in this spirit-filled activity!

Next weekend all of our campuses are collecting red polos and khaki pants, travel-sized toiletries and individual snacks (goldfish, pretzels, fruit snacks, etc) for the kids at Belle Haven. Be in prayer concerning that, asking God where you can contribute. We will also be a part of their Fall Open House and Mentoring Collaborative Program, which gives us the opportunity to have close relationships with their families, kids and the school staff. We love Jesus and we do something about it! In this case, we are focused on faith, family and food, but we would love to partner with you so you can see for yourself that God is already working in our schools, neighborhoods, and families! Come and join us as we act as God’s hands and feet for our community and our young people! God bless you! kjp

An Update from Southwest Louisiana
Last Christmas, our church family gave $152,833 to the Louisiana UMC Conference Disaster Relief fund to help those impacted by storms in Southwest Louisiana. Those funds helped finance an incredible move of God, which brought a unique coalition of people together with one thing in mind – to bring hope and the love of Jesus to a nearly forgotten Cajun community.
