Dear Colleagues,

We hope that your Thanksgiving holiday was meaningful and gave you an opportunity for some well-deserved rest.

We are writing to you today to let you know of a new page in SharePoint that the Accreditation Commission is sharing with our membership to share the great work that has been happening as we are putting together our response to the US Department of Education's recent re-recognition report.

This page contains several areas that we think will be helpful to you in understanding what is now being required of ACPE and our plans to address these items. The page includes the following sections:
  1. An introduction
  2. The text of the final report from the USDE that outlines the identified issues, contains ACPE's explanation/response, and a status column indicating where we are in the process of addressing the item.
  3. A section of DRAFT documents that the Accreditation Commission worked on during the Fall Leadership Meeting that will be incorporated into the Accreditation Manual
  4. A section on two key items in the Compliance Report: Program Length and Student Achievement. This section contains the initial plan to address these items.
  5. A section on Outcomes and Indicators, which will inform our understanding of the Student Achievement section.
  6. A section on Online (Distance) Learning which explains where things stand right now.
As we continue our work, we will update the SharePoint page and announce when significant updates to the SharePoint page have been made in the newsletter. Click here to view the SharePoint page or cut and paste this link (https://acpeincatl.sharepoint.com/sites/ACPEAccreditation/SitePages/ACPE-Accreditation-and-the-US-Department-of-Education.aspx) into your browser when you are logged in to your ACPE.EDU account.
Wishing you all a wonderful holiday,
