Dear Nunez Community:

First and foremost, please allow me a moment to thank you for your patience as we navigate the unprecedented event (COVID-19) that has impacted our students, faculty and staff. Despite the spread of COVID-19 in the US, please note that there are still no confirmed cases of Coronavirus affecting our campus community. To impede the transmission of the disease, Governor John Bel Edwards released a significant executive order today. In that order, the Governor seeks to reduce the amount of face-to-face interaction the people of Louisiana have in an an effort to mitigate the spread of Coronavirus.

Most important to meeting our mission is providing our students a quality education and superior workforce training that will allow them to meet their goals. In that light, we have developed a continuation plan to provide ongoing instruction that will lead students to completion. A number of students will be transitioning from a face-to-face classroom to online delivery for course delivery. Others will continue in modified classrooms in order to meet required contact hours.

We understand that there are students who are limited in their access to technology such as computers and internet. To that end, we have identified labs on campus that will incorporate all CDC recommended protocols to ensure a safe environment.
