Dear Community Leaders and Members of Anne Arundel County,

We have some great events for tonight coming out of our office. Residents of District 1 are encouraged to attend our Budget Town Hall being held in Meade Middle School's cafeteria tonight at 6:00 pm with County Executive Pittman and Councilmember Smith. This is an opportunity for residents to comment on what they would like to see prioritized in the FY24 budget.

We also have Social Justice Movie Night at Maryland Hall, hosted by our Office of Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion, ACDS, and the Human Relations Commission. The program starts at 6:00 pm with the "Testing the Divide" screening and a moderated panel discussion about persistent housing segregation.

There are other great updates highlighted below.

Sincerely,

Vincent Moulden

County Executive Pittman Issues Statement on Governor Moore’s 2024 Capital Budget Proposal

Anne Arundel County Executive Steuart Pittman issued the following statement regarding Governor Wes Moore’s 2024 Capital Budget Proposal.

“I want to thank Governor Wes Moore for his support of Anne Arundel County projects in his 2024 Capital Budget Proposal. His proposal includes funding for many of our key priorities, including $10M for a new joint 911 Call Center, $5M for Crownsville Hospital Memorial Park, and $24M for improvements to schools across the county.

This proposed funding will be essential in our work to improve public safety, education, and health and wellness for our residents. I look forward to working with the Governor and the General Assembly to ensure that this funding is included in the final state budget.”
