Dear Community Leaders and Members of Anne Arundel County,

Thank you to everyone who joined last week’s EngageArundel webinar, Open Data, Open Government: How Access Empowers Community Transparency. You can view the presentation here if you missed it or want to watch it again. Special thanks to the ArundelStat team for leading this informative presentation!

In case you missed it, the county opened zoning change applications for Regions 5, 6, and 8, with a submission deadline of December 16. To support the development of a vision statement for each Region, Vision Questionnaires are now available online at aacounty.org/regions. Responses to the questionnaires will be accepted until November 1, 2024. The County’s Region Plan process aims to involve residents in shaping the future of their communities. Stakeholder Advisory Committees have been selected to assist in this effort, working closely with the Office of Planning and Zoning to guide community input and develop zoning updates. Residents are encouraged to participate in this important process. Learn more by scrolling below.

Lastly, I encourage everyone interested in the future Crownsville Hospital Memorial Park to visit aacounty.org/CrownsvillePark to review the Draft Master Plan. After reviewing the master plan, please consider attending the Town Hall meeting with County Executive Pittman on October 30 at 6:00 PM at Baldwin Hall. This is your chance to provide feedback, or you can email comments anytime to crownsville-park-comments@aacounty.org.

As always, we have other updates for you below.
