An Announcement!

A logo of the number 30 where the curves of the 3 and 0 intersect they look like arms giving each other a hug. The text reads Humanity First 1995-2025.

This year marks 30 Years of Humanity First!

Our international founding and ever-expanding footprint began in Europe in 1995. Throughout the year we will commemorate our 30-year milestone, celebrate the impact that you have helped to achieve, and look forward to what is needed to address the world’s challenges. Thank you, and stay tuned!

Starting the Year with Service

Last week, 379 adults and children came to the Gift of Health clinic for medical care in Cansahcab, Mexico.

Under a large roofed structure people are seated at a long table wearing blood pressure cuffs which are monitored by people wearing blue medical scrubs.
A woman wearing blue medical scrubs listens to a seated patient's heart with a stethoscope.

Patients had their vitals checked, then received physician consultations and free medications in an area of the country where access is limited.

Students from the Humanity First Student Organizations of the University of Michigan and Johns Hopkins University collaborated with Humanity First Mexico to organize and run the clinic. Dr. Atika Malik, a doctor of Internal Medicine, traveled from the United States and was joined by local physicians to lead the clinic. Students supported patient intake, screenings, and translation alongside local volunteers. Children also received goodies like toothbrushes and toothpaste for a healthy start to 2025.

Thank you to the HF Mexico leadership, local volunteers, students, the student Gift of Health team, and everyone who contributed financially.

Calling all kids! (and Youth Coordinators too)

The HFUSA Kids for Humanity initiative is expanding!

Children ages 6-15 are invited to become members of local Kids for Humanity chapters. Together, they will engage in local service projects and raise awareness or funds for humanitarian causes. Kids for Humanity members will learn how to advocate for change, give back, and make the world a better place through service for their communities and for humanity.

Chapters in Southern and Northern Virginia, Baltimore, Philadelphia, Miami, and Maryland are still accepting more members. And more chapters are starting up this winter. All kids are welcome.

We are also seeking Youth Coordinators (aged 18 and above) to lead local chapters - see more on our website.
