Happening now ~ our TENTH & FINAL artTILE exhibit!
We are showcasing the works of more than 30 talented tile makers from across the country in our last big group show - our artTILE extravaganza. Fear not, indigenous will continue to be THE place to find an extensive, eclectic variety of handmade tiles throughout the year. We will feature a number of your favorite tile makers in single artist showcases in the future, but never will there be more than 1000 tiles to experience in person. The show runs through June 16th ~ put a spring in your step and come see the vast selection!

As we are enjoying this lovely spring weather and fresh blooms, we are keeping busy with new arrivals and preparing for artful events. THIS Saturday, May 4th is no exception. Local fave Katie Swartz will be our guest artist sharing a Trunk Show of her ceramics and demonstrating some of her skills. Meet Katie from 11 to 5 - rain or shine. Shop the handmade wares by more than 150 artists then stroll just two blocks away to the Spring Pottery Fair where you'll find some of the best potters in town. Plan on spending the day in East Walnut Hills, as the whole neighborhood will be bustling.

Handmade for Mother's Day? Why, yes, nothing but the best for Mom. Select your gifts at indigenous and we'll add our signature, complimentary gift-packaging for the perfect touch. Hope to see you soon!

showing through June 16
artTILE 2019 is our TENTH & FINAL annual invitational exhibit featuring 30 exceptional artists specially selected to display a wide range of designs, sizes, prices, and tile-making techniques offering a collection with great scope and depth. Hand-built, carved, pressed, stamped, molded, painted and one-of-a-kind art tiles will be on view. Styles range from whimsical and contemporary to the traditional aesthetics inherent to the arts and crafts movement. Tile imagery is also diverse ~ from beautiful nature inspired motifs to thoughtfully rendered architectural landmarks to modern abstract graphics and beyond. Several of our exhibitors are pushing the
artTILE exhibit concept of "a slab of clay, endless possibilities" so be sure to see the new creations.

SEVEN new artists are joining us along with a number of makers who have not shown at indigenous for years so the collection will offer something wonderful for everyone. Enjoy the eclectic offerings along with new design directions from your favorite, established tile artists in this final group show.

Creating her tiles with a process different than all of our other tile-makers, Jen paints with rich, colorful alcohol ink and allows the paints to blend together in ways that are sometimes unpredictable which adds to the charm of each piece.
