information and tickets

The performance  takes place in the pavilion at The Sheffield Town Park on Frederic Lane, just off Miller Avenue..  Your ticket purchase not only supports the arts, it also helps ensure that Christ Trinity outreaches such as Feeding Friends, the Berkshire Immigrant Center and The Elizabeth Freeman Center continue. If you are not going to be in town for this concert, consider buying a ticket for a friend or neighbor who would not normally be able to attend this kind of event.

EfM reconvened on September 6th

After a spirited discussion about theology and what we believe about God, we wrote the following collect.

God, we affirm you are indescribable, unknowable, and ineffable.

Yet, we long to define you.

We wonder.

We doubt.

We persevere.

We pray to encounter you.

AMEN

Crop Hunger Fighters walk on September 24th 10:00

CROP Hunger Walks are community-led events that raise funds to end hunger locally AND around the world. Everyone is welcome to join! Please sign up on the round table in the parish hall to join us on the walk. Gather by 10:00 on September 24th at the Elizabeth Freeman statue on the town green. We will walk to the covered bridge via Miller Avenue and then return. Our Sheffield walk is one of 500 taking place across our nation this month.

Your participation impacts individuals and families in more than 35 countries. In many developing nations, people could walk up to six miles a day to get food and water. One in nine people world-wide lack access to clean water and a healthy diet. We walk to show solidarity and to bring awareness while raising funds for permanent change. A portion of the funds raised will go to Feeding Friends South Berkshire and to Sheffield Food Assistance program.

The CROP Hunger Walk is the only nationwide Walk that addresses hunger both locally and globally. We will celebrate our local CROP Hunger Fighters and this demonstration of Sheffield at its best, after worship on September 25th with a light lunch. Please join us.

OWLES travel to Vermont

The OWLES, Christ Trinity's Senior Social Group, is planning to travel to Hildene, Abraham Lincoln's son Robert's former estate, in Manchester, VT, on Friday, September 23, followed by lunch at the famous Equinox Inn. Along with the house at Hildene, we can tour the beautiful gardens, the Pullman car Sunbeam, and the Dene Farm. Admission is $23 per person (no senior rate). Sheffield area residents can carpool from the church at 8:45, while those who find it more convenient can meet at the Price Chopper lot in Great Barrington at 9:00. We will travel together from there for the hour and a half journey. Heavy rain cancels. Tickets will be purchased at Hildene when we arrive. Because of the distance and high gas prices, drivers should be offered some compensation from passengers. Please let Nancy King or Liz Wells) know if you plan to come, which location you would prefer to meet for carpooling, and if you would be willing to drive.

In October, we hope to visit Chesterwood, maybe on a Saturday, when the admission is half price for Berkshire residents. All are welcome at OWLEs events.

Women's Bible Study resumes
