My friend,

Here's a quick update on what I've been working on in Washington, DC, Staten Island and Southern Brooklyn...
HIGHLIGHTS FROM THE HILL
Americans need roads, bridges, transportation, sewer systems, and flood resiliency. But, Democrats in Congress are attempting to sink real infrastructure in their quest for entitlements, welfare, taxes, government intrusion, and control. Last week, I joined Fox Business to discuss the latest on the bipartisan infrastructure package.
Members of Iranian Americans for Liberty
stopped by our Washington, D.C. office to express their appreciation for my addition to the National Defense Authorization Act that holds Iran accountable for all nefarious activities committed on U.S. soil since 1979, including terrorist attacks, export violations, sanctions-busting activities, cyber-attacks, money laundering operations, and kidnapping plots like the one foiled in Brooklyn earlier this year.
Secretary of State Antony Blinken testified in front of the House Committee on Foreign Affairs regarding the Biden Administration's botched withdrawal from Afghanistan. I pressed him on the failure to evacuate all American citizens from Afghanistan before U.S. soldiers and how the Administration's planned 'Over The Horizon' counterterrorism strategy will work.
IN THE DISTRICT
On the 20th anniversary of September 11, 2001, I attended beautiful ceremonies in Brooklyn, Staten Island, and Ground Zero. We honored the thousands of lives lost that day and the days since due to 9/11 related illnesses.

I wrote an op-ed for The Staten Island Advance on why our country can 'Never Forget' that fateful day.
My office joined the Staten Island Chamber of Commerce for a Community Clean-Up on the North Shore. Thank you to the Chamber for organizing these events over the years and to all of the dedicated National Grid volunteers who are committed to keeping our streets clean!
I joined members of the U.S. Coast Guard and FDNY in wishing WWII vet Charlie a happy 100th birthday! It was a special day filled with singing and dancing and a motorcycle parade led by Rolling Thunder and the Staten Island Corvette Club.
IN THE NEWS

I joined Fox Business to discuss Mayor de Blasio's unfair COVID-19 vaccine mandate and what we're doing to push back on the local and federal levels.
Rep. Malliotakis hosts ceremony for new Americans she helped through citizenship process
For immigrants hoping to become American citizens, the process can be challenging, but the help of a local congress member can make a difference.
