I hope this letter finds you and your loved ones well and keeping healthy and encouraged during these difficult times.
We are living through a coronavirus pandemic that has challenged us all. Compounded with the pattern of police brutality, protests, and rioting, around the nation, the future may seem overwhelming. It's during these troubling times that strong leadership, at all levels of government, is needed.
I wanted to let you know that I have filed for re-election to the State House of Representatives, District 14. I'm excited about running for office because I truly enjoy the work and believe that together, we are
making a difference.
I'm most proud of the work we accomplished on the north shore of Kauaʻi, that is a model for addressing over-tourism in Hawaiʻi. I'm also pleased with the progress in creating a master plan for the Mahelona Medical Center campus that will, over time, address important needs on our island, including assisted living and affordable housing. Last, but not least, major Kuhio Highway improvement projects through Wailua-Kapaʻa are planned, funded, and/or underway to address traffic congestion.
I look forward to the challenges ahead and ask for your continued support in the upcoming election. I hope we can convert these challenges into opportunities to build a more sustainable and resilient Kauaʻi and State of Hawaiʻi.
I do not plan to hold a campaign fundraiser, but humbly ask for your support by donating through the link below, or by mailing a contribution to: Friends of Nadine, 4849 ʻIʻiwi Road, Kapaʻa, HI 96746.
As we open our doors for inter-island visitors on June 16, please continue to wash your hands, wear your masks, and practice social distancing to keep you and everyone safe!
Mahalo for your support,
