COMMUNITY NORDIC TRAILS UPDATE

Dear Ski Friends,

We're in the home stretch for the 2022-23 ski season, and Mother Nature is showing us no sign that it's time for winter to be over!

It has been an amazing ski season, reaching all the way back to October 24th, the first day of skiing at Sunset Hills, and November 8th, when grooming operations began in full force across all in-town venues. 

The addition of two new Skandic grooming snowmobiles has been key to our operations this season, grooming over 80km across 7 venues around the valley. HUGE thanks to all who pitched in to help purchase these for our Community Nordic Trails program!
And, thanks to all who have helped support the trails through their pass purchase, donation, or in-kind support. There's still time to contribute, and a lot of snow to ski!

In a typical season, school spring break marks the turning point in weather, conditions, and grooming operations, especially at the in-town venues. We're going to see how things take shape over the next few weeks and continue regular grooming at key venues, as conditions allow. Sourdough grooming will continue through the end of March on a regular basis.

Huge thanks to GVLT, BSF, the U.S. Forest Service, and One Montana for helping out with the Ambassador Day at Sourdough last weekend. Many of you may remember Kyle Marvinney, BSF's former trails manager. We're pleased to have him working for the Forest Service now, where we're able to collaborate on grooming Hyalite.
