"We are here for you." It's one of the most common things we say to victims of crime and their loved ones. Now, in light of COVID-19, "here" has taken on additional meaning as we've reworked our operations to provide remote services. We began switching to virtual tools and remote access to services shortly after Governor Wolf’s first stay-home order went into effect in March 20.
After thoughtful considerations and research into safety protocols we decided to have staff return to the office. In July we began to bring our staff back into the office on a rotating schedule. While client services continue remotely, staff are coming in to the office to take care of all the jobs that cannot be done remotely. This includes checking the fax machine, mail, filing and getting used to the new normal of wearing masks and social distancing while at VSC.
Our efforts to stay safe are augmented by generous crafters in our community who made fabric face masks to protect our staff and our visitors.
We continue to be here to support all victims of crime and their loved ones in their healing.
