Greetings from Anabaptist Communicators!
Happy Fall, y'all!
We just wanted to say how thankful we are for all our Anabaptist Communicators (AC) members and supporters. This organization is only successful because of your engagement. We would not be where we are today, 40+ years later, without the many communicators who have built this nonprofit from the ground up. We truly appreciate you all!
It's been several months, but we wanted to share a few updates with everyone and some even more exciting updates for our members!

Mark your calendars for December 3-4, 2020 as Anabaptist Communicators hosts our first-ever digital conference, "What's Good News?"!
What are the stories we’re telling in this time of upheaval, fear and polarization? Whose voices are being lifted up? Join your fellow Anabaptist communicators online for conversation, inspiration and connection as we explore how what we proclaim — and how we do it — can make a difference across the church and among our constituents.
Keynote speakers include:
-
Osheta Moore, podcaster, blogger, everyday peacemaker, Outreach and Teaching Pastor at Woodland Hills Church in St. Paul, Minnesota.
-
Danielle Klotz, executive director of Anabaptist World. Dani previously worked in marketing, communications and development at Mennonite Mission Network for six years.
-
Paul Schrag, editor of Anabaptist World. Paul was on the staff of Mennonite World Review for 32 years, serving as editor since 1996.
**2020 members receive $25 off their conference registration! Find the promo code in the Membership Portal (details below) or email us.**

Thank you to everyone who participated in the survey by John Longhurst, communications coordinator for Mennonite Disaster Service (MDS) Canada, on the future of Anabaptist/Mennonite communications. In case you missed the results, you can check them out here:

It's membership registration/renewal season! This year, we're offering a 20% off discount to anyone (individual or organization) who registers for 2021 membership by January 31. Just use promo code EARLYBIRD at check-out. Come and join the fun in 2021!

Finally, we know this year has been a tough one for many reasons. Please know that we're thinking and praying for each one of you. As we work hard to continue to develop resources that will help each one of you to more effectively work as professional communicators, we encourage you to check out our Facebook group. There have been some great discussions on there recently about digital mis-information and manipulation online, annual reports, worship materials and even some job openings.

Highlight your work on our AC blog
Members, we would love to highlight your writing, photography, artwork, etc. on our AC blog! Many of you noted when you signed up for membership that you have a blog or you regularly write for your organization's website. And from what we see on Facebook, we know that several of you are skilled in the arts!
We would include your byline and bio on anything we share and post a link to it on our Facebook group. Potential blogs will be vetted by the AC board to make sure they comply with our mission and values.
To submit a blog for consideration, email us!

Catch up with all things AC on our Member Portal
AC members can access recordings of Talking Heads LIVE events and presentations from past conferences through the new Member Portal on the AC website. If you haven't yet set up your password to access the portal, this would be a great time to do it! (AC members received emails in late May with a personalized link; the emails came from no-reply@editmysite.com and were titled "Welcome to www.anabaptistcomm.org!" — just in case yours ended up in your spam folder.)

You are receiving this email because you have connected with Anabaptist Communicators through membership and/or participation in one or more of our events. We don't send a lot of emails and would be glad to stay in touch with you! You can manage your subscription preferences below if needed.
