We're closed Thursday only, for the July 4th Holiday

Are you ready for some indulgence during the so-called lazy days of summer? Then let your stay-cation plans include self-care time in our urban sanctuary at Anasa.  We've been super busy and very excited about the ELEVEN amazing offerings that we've lined up for you during the next couple of months.  So stop in and stay cool with us. Students and teachers already know that we're blessed with a powerful AC and heating system and it's ALWAYS comfortable in the studio.

In addition to the upcoming workshops and series, we have several changes to the weekly schedule.  Each year in January & July, we make adjustments when teachers move on or change their  schedule .  It's also a time when new teachers join the community!  This summer we're saying goodbye to Sita, and Karly, and Avenelle and we wish them all well!  The Yin Yoga class is converting to a Restorative + Reiki class.  We're growing a Kundalini + Meditation community. And we're welcoming FOUR new teachers, plus Elika is adding a second class!  Although a few things are shifting, the weekly schedule is generally the same except for eliminating the Friday 4:30pm yoga class which may return in the future.

Here's a big shout out to the Substitute Teachers for covering classes during vacations and until the new teachers can start. Thank you dearly! Please come check out Gloria Cheong, Ainka Fulani, Lisa Klein, Anandi Martinez, and Casey Marie too.
Students - it's good for you, good for your teachers, and good for the studio when you can open your heart and overcome the obstacles we often encounter when venturing out to experience new people, places, and things!
Please pre-register for events at to take advantage of EARLY BIRD PRICING and help us plan in advance for our amazing line-up of holistic offerings!
Blessings to All,
Jean Marie

Coming in July & August!
Welcome Ashley Ramos!
Restorative Yoga + Reiki
Mondays 5:30 - 6:30pm
Starts July 1st

In the back lounge studio,
pre-registration recommended!

Ashley Ramos is a Filipina, Oakland based 500-RYT who believes that yoga is a powerful tool that helps achieve a holistic well-being and reconnects us to our highest Self. She started her yoga practice 7 years ago, using yoga more for its physical benefits. Through that, she discovered that yoga does much more for her than what she was expecting; it helped her cope better with stress and anxiety while she was in Nursing school, and it helped her be more aware within and outside of herself. She decided to do a yoga teacher training at Yoga Garden after moving to the Bay area and mainly studied to deepen her practice. During her training, she felt a deeper awakening and realized that yoga is something that she is excited to share and make accessible for more people. She has studied Prenatal & Postnatal yoga, Restorative Yoga, Kids Yoga, and Ayurveda at Yoga Garden SF, as well as mentored and assisted with her teacher Alexandra Rossi.

Ashley is also a registered nurse, a Qoya teacher, and an Usui Reiki Master. Learn more about Ashley at
Welcome Casey Marie Silva!
Gentle Hatha Yoga
Saturdays 7:30 - 8:30am
Starts July 6

Casey found a lightness of being through Vinyasa yoga in 2001 at a very dark time in her life. She began teaching in 2008 and completed her first 200 hour YTT in 2009 at Downtown Yoga in Pleasanton. Casey teaches Hatha, Vinyasa, Yin, Restorative, and Children's Yoga. Her practice and life experiences have led her down many paths of inquisition. Casey is a mom, musician, writer, painter and a student of life. Through suffering and gratitude, her heart has widened with compassion. She believes that we all have darkness and light, and we are all beautiful beings fighting battles that no one can see. She is a rainbow warrior, with a firm belief that yoga is a master key to liberation. By facing our truth with a sense of compassion and a sense of humor, we learn day by day to let down the baggage, drop our egos, and love ourselves fully for exactly who we are right now - building a better community by creating a better world within.
Welcome Shirley Johnson!

Shirley bows in reverence to the ancestors of the many lineages of yoga and the keepers of this ancient technology over generations who have made it possible for her to practice and share in her lifetime. She gives thanks to the teachers she has studied with over the years; namely Krishna Kaur, Gurmukh, and Paula Tursi.
