Anawim is lucky to foster educational work experiences with several interns throughout the year - one of whom was Ashly Frazier who just finished her internship with us! Here's her story:

My name is Ashly Frazier and I am completing my first year as a student at Drake University. Through Drake's Engaged Citizen Corps program, I have had the opportunity to serve as an intern at Anawim Housing. By the end of this academic year, I had completed over 300 hours of service with this wonderful organization! - Read her full story by clicking READ MORE
Earlier this month, Anawim Housing invited several local community partner agencies to participate in a resource fair for our tenants. The Fair, titled "Growing Together: Planting the Seeds of Community," was designed to be a fun spring event, connecting tenants with organizations that offered opportunities and resources for youth and families. The event was organized by our Drake University Engaged Citizen Corps intern, Ashly Frazier. We would like to thank all the organizations who participated: HOME Inc, Habitat for Humanity, Girl Scouts of Iowa, Impact, and Freedom for Youth.
