RISING TOWARD COMMUNITY
Earlier this month, members of Anawim Housing's permanent supportive housing programs, Full Circle, and program managers hosted a small reboot of our Rising Toward Community event. Tenants and staff gathered together, many for the first time in over a year, to share in a delicious meal, provided by Platter House Food Delivery and Catering. The event was an opportunity for our tenants to celebrate their personal achievements, growth and resiliency, and to reconnect as a community.

WE EMPOWER FAMILIES:
UPDATES AND SAVE THE DATE!
In June, Anawim Housing hosted the WEF Reconnect virtual event that was open to the community.
As part of our event, we unveiled a new name for our Women Empowering Families (WEF) group - We Empower Families. This new name increases inclusion, removing barriers for those who would like to be a part of this group, and continues to encompass our mission of providing equitable housing for all, in support of all. We will still refer to the group as WEF, but the full name will now be We Empower Families. View a recording of the Zoom event by clicking here.

ANAWIM PLAYGROUNDS RECEIVE FACELIFT THANKS TO VOLUNTEERS
On Sunday, July 25th a group of volunteers from Journey Church braved the heat to help beautify and provide renovations to four Anawim Housing playgrounds. Together the volunteers helped by spreading mulch, sanding and repainting structures, mending a fence, rebuilding and filling a sandbox...and much more! We are so grateful to each volunteer for dedicating their time to helping improve these playgrounds, bringing joy to the children and families that call Anawim Housing home.

If you or your organization/business are interested in learning ways you can volunteer or partner with Anawim Housing, please click HERE to visit our Ways To Get Involved page.
