As just one of twenty-three projects in the nation, Anawim Housing has been awarded $187,000 annual and renewable funding through HUD to house homeless youth age 18-24 in a new Permanent Supportive Housing program.
The Youth Homeless Opportunities (YHOP) grant will incorporate housing with peer support, employment and educational services, positive youth development and an active youth voice to create programming specifically tailored to best serve homeless youth.
Anawim's Executive Director, Cynthia Latcham, spoke with WHO Channel 13 about what this means for our community. Click READ MORE to view the news clip and read our full press release.
