As just one of twenty-three projects in the nation, Anawim Housing has been awarded $187,000 annual and renewable funding through HUD to house homeless youth age 18-24 in a new Permanent Supportive Housing program.

The Youth Homeless Opportunities (YHOP) grant will incorporate housing with peer support, employment and educational services, positive youth development and an active youth voice to create programming specifically tailored to best serve homeless youth.

Anawim's Executive Director, Cynthia Latcham, spoke with WHO Channel 13 about what this means for our community. Click READ MORE to view the news clip and read our full press release.
Anawim Housing's third party management company, Allterra Property Solutions, employs skilled maintenance techs who work hard to renovate and restore units when tenants move out. They have to work quickly as there is always a family or individual ready to move in.

Check out a video of one of our recent bathroom remodels to see the great work they do for our properties and tenants. The transformation is hard to miss!
In our latest "Stories from the Field" blog, our program team shares about overcoming challenges and maintaining hope in a time of social distancing.

Throughout this time, program staff have been busy making calls, sending text messages, writing letters, doing drive-bys, and making drop-offs of essential items for at-risk individuals. They are thinking outside of the box. They are finding creative loopholes. They are doing whatever is possible and necessary to keep the people we serve stably housed.
