Word from Food and Beverage Manager
First of all, I wanted to thank everyone for coming out to Spring Clean Up. It was one wet event, but everyone pulled through and got a lot accomplished. It's very much appreciated to see members chipping in to beautify our Club for all to enjoy.
We have a lot of events planned for all members to attend in May. And I really hope everyone enjoys that! Keep an eye out for my reminders and announcements.
Summer is right around the corner, and I will resume the hiring process for food runners and servers for the Pub. The positions are very limited for people under 21 years old. If your children have applied, please note, I will do my best on getting everyone on my team, but I can not make any promises. Interviews will be conducted by me and Tyler within the next few days.
Our reports show an increase in sales for each month this year for Topside events comparing to last year, which is a great accomplishment for our Club, and I'm very grateful to my team for helping me to achieve this goal.
Under unfortunate circumstances we sustained some property damages to the North shed roof after the storm a couple weeks ago (the Board is currently reviewing repair options) and unforeseen maintenance issues with the Pool pump (awaiting the replacement this week for the pool inspection).
The plans are up for introducing WYCC to the Club Management System, which will increase productivity, effectiveness and speed of service for the food and beverage service, banquet and special event planning, marina management, website and social media integration, back of the office and bookkeeping. It is very much needed for this Club to be successful for years to come, and I'm very excited and proud to be a part of this project.

USCG Auxiliary Boat Safety Inspections at WYCC - May 18!
Start your Boating season off with a safe step! USCG Auxiliary will be at WYCC from 12 pm to 5 pm on May 18 , FLAG RAISING Day! Inspections available to boats at the piers, on parked trailers, or bring your boat to the Club on your trailer from home.
Meet other boaters at the Club! Stay for the Flag Raising to start the summer season. Have dinner at the Club!
Reminder!

All Kayaks, Canoes and small boats must be registered with the Club to be kept on Club property and/or in the small boat racks. Please complete a Boaters Registration form, which is available on our website at www.wycc.co and return it to the office to obtain a registration sticker.
Congratulations to our members that has successfully completed a boating safety education course and obtained their certification in April!
Special thanks to the instructors Richard Spivak and Pennie Brown for their time and dedication to this course!

If you don’t want to miss all of the excitement and tradition of the Kentucky Derby, come join us for “the most exciting two minutes in sports” while sipping a cold Mint Julep. Ladies, join the "It's my Derby" Hat Contest . Register with your server upon arrival, and remember, you must be present to win. Gentlemen are encouraged to wear bow ties. It's race time!
