Faculty Professional Articles
In connection with WELSSA (Wisconsin Evangelical Lutheran Synod School Accreditation) and our own school vision, our faculty is preparing a series of spiritual articles to aid in our faculty’s professional growth and our Faith family’s spiritual growth. The theme of these articles is taken out of our school vision. The theme is “Growing our Relationship with God.” As you may or may not know, there are several ways that are available through Faith to help you grow in your relationship with God. The articles will address the topics of worship, Bible class/Sunday School, home devotions, prayer, fellowship, and service. In each article, you will find information, tips, and encouragement to help aid you in your daily walk with God. The articles will follow this schedule:

  • October – Worship (Miss Cathy Backer)
  • November – Bible Class/Sunday School (Mr. Craig Breitkreutz)
  • December – Home Devotions (Mr. Keith Kopczynski)
  • February – Prayer (Mrs. Teri Johnson)
  • March – Fellowship (Mrs. Sara Fendel)
  • April – Service (Mrs. Carrie Dorst)

We hope that you find these articles to be beneficial to growing in your relationship with God.
School Directory
In the past Faith has provided a school directory with a listing of all students, their grade, parents names, address and home phone number.

Since the introduction of our new Student Information System (SIS), all of this information is now available to students, parents and staff members through their computer or smart device using a browser.

If you have not logged into our new SIS please consider doing so! There are so many things available through our Family Portal like calendar events, printable directories, past school communications, student grades, attendance and more.

If you need assistance please contact the office so we can assist you!
Picture Retake Days
Because of preschool being out last week and missing picture day today, pictures for our 3/5 day preschoolers will be taken on Thursday, October 14th, 2021. Please return the envelope to the teacher even if you are NOT ordering anything because we use this to make photo ID's for each child. Monday-Tuesday preschool student pictures will be taken on retake day which is Tuesday, October 19th.

Attention Fall Athletes
Sports pictures will be taken on the next two photos days. If you have a student in a fall sport please have your child bring their uniform to school on Thursday, October 14 or Tuesday, October 19 for their photo. Because of social distancing there will not be group photos. The photographer will take individual photos and make a composite of them to create a group photo of each team.
Job Posting
Faith Lutheran Church and School is now accepting applications for a part-time Financial Associate. Email if you would like to receive a position description and more information on how to apply.
Help Wanted
Faith is continuing with our virtual art fair again this year. Weekly a volunteer takes photos on Friday afternoons (thank you Mrs. McNaughton) but we need another volunteer to make any edits and organize those photos into proper folders within Flickr. Training will be provided to anyone willing to help. If kept up weekly this will be no more than an hour to an hour-and-a-half a week of time needed.

Please contact Tammy in the office 847-395-1660 or if you can help.
Thank you!
New and Blue Doors at School
Faith Lutheran School has received much needed door maintenance resulting in new glass entry doors being installed in the main entry. The old entry doors had reached the point of being beyond repair. The side, gym, and back teacher entry doors all received a fresh coat of paint (inside gray, outside blue) to match the new sign installed last year. Rust/metal maintenance was also performed. Thank you to Mark Cobb for donating the time and materials for our new, blue doors!
Classroom Closeup
Classroom closeup: Mrs. Dorst's K-2nd graders are having fun AND learning at the same time!
2nd grade loves to write their spelling words on their desks. And 1st grade did their spelling words in carrots. (We love when we get to eat our learning!) And our kindergartners worked on hand-strengthening activities like snapping cubes, squeezing things, & play-doh!

Sports Corner
Faith Athletics Are Back in Full Fall Swing!
Co-ed soccer and girls volleyball continue to play exciting matches. Our athletes have practiced and executed well.
Regular season games are complete.  We look forward to the tournaments for both sports. October 16, at Shoreland Lutheran High School in Somers, Wisconsin, our co-ed soccer and our girls volleyball teams will compete in the conference tournaments. Both tournaments will be complete in one day's time.  Game times will be announced once known.
Fans are welcome to watch and cheer for our teams. The small entrance fee for the day helps defray the cost of trophies and referee fees.  The Christian sportsmanship and respect shown by our players, coaches, and fans at our games is noticed and appreciated.

Faith Basketball and Cheer Season News
Basketball and cheerleading coaches and assistant coaches are needed for our winter sports program.  Several parents mentioned interest this summer.  Now is the time to speak with Mr. Kopczynski, to learn more about our program, and to be considered for these positions.
Faith also needs a Concession Stand Coordinator (CSC). The CSC purchases the food with our budgeted funds and sells food and water at the three home basketball games.  If unable to be at the games, the CSC can ask other parents to help. Interested in helping our program?  Talk to Mr. Kopczynski to learn more.

Talking to Mr. Kopczynski about coaching or working as CSC does not mean that you are immediately making a commitment. Speak with him and learn more.
