And the Winners Are...
That's a wrap! The 2019 National TSA Conference concluded Tuesday, July 2, 2019 near Washington, D.C.

At the General Session IV/Awards Ceremony , the new 2019 –2020 national TSA officer team was installed* and competition finalists were announced.
The 2018–2019 LEAP Legacy Chapter winners were announced. The first through third place middle and high school chapters each received checks for $1,000, $500, and $250, respectively.
The 2019 National TEAMS Competition featured the theme, "The Engineering Brain."

The TSA VEX Robotics Competition (VRC) top eight high school teams, based on highest programming and highest drive score combined, competed in "Turning Point."
The TSA VEX IQ Challenge (VIQC) top 10 middle school teams squared off in "Next Level."
Junior Solar Sprint is administered by national TSA with a grant awarded by the Army Educational Outreach Program (AEOP) . Check out the 2019 JSS finalists .

The CompTIA Scholarship for Future Technologists is made available through a generous contribution by the leading non-profit trade association for the global technology industry.

Ten recipients each were awarded a one-time, $2,500 scholarship toward post-secondary education tuition. The announcement was made at the conference by the CEO of CompTIA's Creating IT Futures, Charles Eaton.

Monday's conference Special Interest Session t opics included "Want to be an Engineer?" "STEM at the U.S. Naval Academy," Technology and Engineering Education in Higher Education," "New Middle School Events," and "World-Class K to 16 STEM Opportunities.
Mr. Gary M. Morgan shared "Leading in Middle School and Beyond " then "Leading in High School and Beyond " as part of the final day of LEAP/The Student Leadership Challenge Professional Leadership Training at this conference.

He also led a leadership session for TEAMS: "What Does it Take to be a Great Leader?"
TEAMS participants also were motivated to lead by a panel discussion led by four of the 2018–2019 national TSA officers. National TSA President Alexander King, Vice President Isabella Eleogo, Secretary Emma Hopson, and Reporter Ben Abt shared why leaders are not born—they are made. "The sky is not the limit. YOU are. And you are limitless!" Alexander King told the engaged audience of TEAMS competitors, coaches, and parents.
Seniors and alumni joined the CompTIA Pro Senior Night Celebration in the RiverView Ballroom. Attendees enjoyed an ice cream sundae bar, giant games, tech prizes, T-shirt giveaways, a photo booth, and even presidential photos!
