DANNY & RON'S RESCUE BARN DEDICATION

Thursday evening, October 26th, was capped off with the Danny & Ron's Rescue Barn Dedication. Following the conclusion of the $5k Find Aiken Homes & Farms Barb Gould Uskup Welcome Stakes, friends, AHPF Board members, and horse show family gathered at Barn 1 for the festivities. One of the first barn operations to ever set hoof on "Bruce's Field", Danny & Ron "showed here when there weren’t any barns and just rode out on the grass".

Ron Danta commented on the emotion of the occasion, "This is a very meaningful time for Danny and I and the rescue. I was fortunate enough to grow up with Bruce in Barrington, IL. Bruce was always a very special person. He was a true animal lover, the beautiful life-size, bronze, of him [at Bruce's Field], the dog he’s holding is Chummy, he was dog number 2000, we just hit our 14,000^th adoption. It’s just so wonderful, I wish Bruce was here to see it all come to fruition. I know he would be so proud. I just know how much this means to Bruce and I know how much it means to his family. I just talked to his sister Dayle the other day and this is something that I think anybody that cared about Bruce has a great passion for. We’re very fortunate with our dog rescue that we’re aloud to be a part of Bruce’s Field, every time we come here and look at that sign and have this barn, we’re very honored."
