2024 Coolest Thing Made in Delaware:

Hologic's 3Dimensions Mammography System

During the Spring Manufacturing & Policy Conference, the Delaware State Chamber of Commerce and its affiliate, the Delaware Manufacturing Association, named Hologic’s 3Dimensions Mammography System as the first Coolest Thing Made in Delaware.

Hologic is an innovative medical technology company that is focused on improving women’s health and wellbeing through early detection and treatment. On average, Hologic’s 3Dimensions Mammography Systems save the lives of around 27,300 women per year.

“Winning this award is a reminder that in the world of manufacturing, success is not measured solely by the products we create, but by the impact we have on the lives of others,” said Brian Brooks, senior director of operations at Hologic. Read more >

Today, under a new name as AltruVision – A Lions Eye Bank, the nonprofit serves as the only eye bank in Delaware and has coordinated nearly 50,000 transplant surgeries since its humble beginnings. Read More >
