June 6 Mattoon Library Summer Reading Kick Off: Color our Lawn, 10am

• It’s time to kick off Mattoon Library summer reading with a celebration in the front lawn. This year’s theme “Color Our World” is all about art and creativity. June 6-8 Lake Mattoon Riviera Regatta

• Y Flyer Fleet 39's Riviera Regatta on Lake Mattoon June 6-8th, hosted by the Lake Mattoon Sailing Association.

June 6-8 Flea Market at the Cross County Mall

• The Cross County Mall is located at 700 Broadway Ave. East in Mattoon. Flea Market is open during the following hours: Friday and Saturday 10am-8pm, and Sunday noon- 5pm.

June 7 SBLHC Races for all Paces at EIU O'Brien Stadium

• Register online at www.sarahbush.org/races. Packet pick up Friday 7am-5pm, and beginning at 6:30am at O'Brien Stadium. First race starts at 7:50. For more information contact Tracy Haddock at 2174-345-6828.

June 7 St. Jude Moonshine Ride, 9am

• Join this family friendly ride from Indian Motorcycle to Moonshine to benefit St. Jude. Vehicle registration is $25. Day of registration 7:30-8:45am. Day ends with live music, inflatables and ice cream.

June 7 MLB Pitch, Hit and Run event hosted by Mattoon Jr. Baseball

• MJBL to have been accepted to host an MLB Pitch, Hit, and Run event for all kids, boys and girls, living in Mattoon and anyone within 150 miles. Mattoon Junior Baseball League Complex will host the event. Major League Baseball Pitch Hit & Run is a free event that provides boys and girls, ages 7 to 14, an opportunity to showcase their baseball and softball skills.
